It’s hard to talk about rooftop venues without mentioning this pioneer in Legian. Their long running all-you-can-eat buffet and free flow beer ensure the crowds will keep coming and coming, and the dazzling displays on a large screen accompany DJ performances (sometimes patrons can even watch
Hollywood hits on the same screen). The spacious courtyard has a large bar at the center and various seating options around the perimeter. Peer over the ledge at Kuta’s many clay rooftops, and if the evening is cloudless, you might even be able to spot a few volcanoes close to the horizon in the distance. Located on the third floor of the Beachwalk mall, this plush addition to Kuta’s nightlife scene is just a year old. The venue is a club, restaurant and bar, all in one. Get a front row seat to the spectacular kaleidoscope of colors at sunset; in the after-sunset glow you can peer down at traffi c as it moves at snail’s pace, packed with people heading home after a day at the beach. Smoqee Sky Bar sits on top of the Le Méridien Bali Jimbaran and provides uninterrupted views of the Bukit peninsula’s limestone cliffs and Jimbaran Bay. Loveseats and armchairs are arranged around a small pond – the ideal romantic setting for sunset. Modern and Asian-style tapas are available for light noshing. One of Seminyak’s newest nightlife venues, Townhouse is larger than life, much like the eclectic New York vibe that runs throughout the venue.
